एतन् मुहूर्ते तु मया पश्य वालिनम् आहवे ।
निरस्तम् इषुणा एकेन वेष्टमानम् महीतले ॥ ॥४-१२-३७॥
etan muhūrte tu mayā paśya vālinam āhave । nirastam iṣuṇā ekena veṣṭamānam mahītale ॥ ॥4-12-37॥
Translation
In this very moment, witness Vali struck down by a single arrow of mine, writhing on the ground in battle.
हिंदी अनुवाद
इस बार युद्ध में मेरे एक ही बाण से मारे जाकर पृथ्वी पर तड़पते हुए वाली को तुम इसी मुहूर्त (क्षण) में देखोगे।
English Commentary
This is Rama's infallible resolve. The phrase 'iṣuṇā ekena' (with a single arrow) reinforces Rama's confidence and his reputation for "one arrow, one promise." Rama leaves no room for uncertainty. The word 'veṣṭamānam' (writhing/rolling) paints a vivid picture of Vali's impending and certain death, providing Sugriva with the absolute assurance of safety he desperately needs to step back into the ring.

यह राम का अमोघ संकल्प है। 'इषुणा एकेन' (एक बाण से) का प्रयोग राम के आत्मविश्वास और 'एक बाण, एक वचन' की उनकी ख्याति को पुष्ट करता है। राम अब कोई अनिश्चितता नहीं छोड़ना चाहते। 'वेष्टमानम्' (तड़पते हुए/लोटते हुए) शब्द वाली की आसन्न और निश्चित मृत्यु का दृश्य सुग्रीव की आँखों के सामने खींच देता है, जिससे सुग्रीव को सुरक्षा का पूर्ण आश्वासन मिलता है।
