Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
समुद्यम्य महत् चापम् रामः कांचन भूषितम् ।
शराम् च आदित्य संकाशान् गृहीत्वा रण साधकान् ॥ ॥४-१३-२॥
samudyamya mahat cāpam rāmaḥ kāñcana bhūṣitam । śarām ca āditya saṃkāśān gṛhītvā raṇa sādhakān ॥ ॥4-13-2॥
Translation
Rama raised his great gold-adorned bow and took up arrows that shone like the sun and were capable of accomplishing the ends of battle.
हिंदी अनुवाद
राम ने अपना स्वर्ण-भूषित विशाल धनुष उठाया और सूर्य के समान तेजस्वी तथा युद्ध को सिद्ध करने वाले (विजयी) बाणों को ग्रहण किया।
English Commentary
The description of Rama's weaponry highlights his readiness. 'Raṇa sādhakān' (accomplishers of battle) implies arrows that effectively neutralize the target. 'Āditya saṃkāśān' (like the sun) symbolizes the intense energy and brilliance of his missiles. This verse portrays Rama in his martial glory, fully in 'action mode' and prepared for the lethal engagement.

राम के अस्त्र-शस्त्रों का वर्णन उनकी तैयारी को दर्शाता है। 'रण साधकान्' (युद्ध सिद्ध करने वाले) बाणों का अर्थ है ऐसे बाण जो लक्ष्य चूकते नहीं। 'आदित्य संकाशान' (सूर्य के समान) बाणों की तेजस्विता और ऊर्जा का प्रतीक है। यह श्लोक एक योद्धा के रूप में राम के रौद्र रूप का परिचय देता है जो अब 'एक्शन मोड' में हैं।
