पक्षिणो वर्जयन्ति एतत् तथा अन्ये वनचारिणः ।
विशन्ति मोहाद् ये अपि अत्र न निवर्तन्ते ते पुनः ॥ ॥४-१३-२१॥
pakṣiṇo varjayanti etat tathā anye vanacāriṇaḥ । viśanti mohād ye api atra na nivartante te punaḥ ॥ ॥4-13-21॥
Translation
Birds and other forest dwellers avoid this place. Those who enter here out of delusion never return again.

पक्षी और अन्य वनचारी जीव भी इस स्थान का त्याग करते हैं (यहाँ नहीं आते)। जो कोई मोहवश इसमें प्रवेश करते हैं, वे फिर कभी लौटकर नहीं आते।
English Commentary
This verse underscores the forbidding and esoteric nature of the sanctuary. The fact that birds and beasts instinctively avoid ('varjayanti') the area suggests an intense vibration or energy field incompatible with ordinary life. The phrase 'na nivartante' (they do not return) is ominous yet profound. It implies a point of no return—either destruction due to the inability to withstand the spiritual voltage, or a complete absorption into the divine atmosphere from which no one wishes to depart. It serves as a mystical warning: sacred spaces have distinct boundaries, and trespassing, even out of ignorance ('mohād'), carries existential consequences.

यह श्लोक आश्रम के भयानक और रहस्यमय पहलू को उजागर करता है। 'वर्जयन्ति' शब्द बताता है कि मूक प्राणी भी अपनी नैसर्गिक वृत्ति (instinct) से इस स्थान की तीव्रता को भांप लेते हैं और दूर रहते हैं। 'न निवर्तन्ते' (नहीं लौटते) के दो अर्थ हो सकते हैं: या तो वे जीव उस तेज को सहन न कर पाने के कारण भस्म हो जाते हैं, या फिर वे उस स्थान के दिव्य आनंद में ऐसे लीन हो जाते हैं कि लौकिक जगत में वापस नहीं आना चाहते। संदर्भ को देखते हुए, यह एक चेतावनी है कि बिना अधिकार या अनुमति के सिद्ध क्षेत्रों में प्रवेश वर्जित है। यह स्थान साधारण जीवों के लिए अगम्य है।
