निष्पतिष्यति असंगेन वाली स प्रियसम्युगः ।
रिपूणाम् धर्षितम् श्रुत्वा मर्षयन्ति न संयुगे ॥४-१४-१८॥
niṣpatiṣyati asaṃgena vālī sa priyasaṃyugaḥ । ripūṇām dharṣitam śrutvā marṣayanti na saṃyuge ॥ ॥4-14-18॥
Translation
Vali, who loves battle, will come out without hesitation. For brave warriors, upon hearing the challenge of enemies, do not tolerate it in the context of war.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वह युद्ध-प्रेमी वाली बिना किसी रुकावट (शंका) के बाहर निकल आएगा। क्योंकि (वीर पुरुष) शत्रुओं के द्वारा किए गए तिरस्कार/ललकार को सुनकर सहन नहीं कर पाते।
English Commentary
Rama continues to profile the adversary. Vali is priyasaṃyugaḥ (a lover of combat). Rama predicts Vali will exit asaṃgena—without attachment to safety or hesitation. The commentary on warrior psychology is profound: a true warrior cannot digest (na marṣayanti) a challenge (dharṣitam) from an enemy. This indicates that the upcoming battle is inevitable not just because of Sugriva's roar, but because of Vali's intrinsic nature that compels him to answer every challenge.

यह श्लोक क्षत्रिय धर्म और वीर रस की प्रकृति को स्पष्ट करता है। 'प्रियसम्युगः' (जिसे युद्ध प्रिय हो) विशेषण वाली के स्वभाव को बताता है। राम जानते हैं कि वीर पुरुष के लिए अपमान मृत्यु से भी बढ़कर होता है। 'असंगेन' का अर्थ है बिना किसी आसक्ति या देरी के—अर्थात वाली परिणाम का विचार किए बिना केवल क्रोध और अहंकार के वशीभूत होकर बाहर आएगा। यह राम की शत्रु-विश्लेषण (Enemy Analysis) क्षमता का प्रमाण है।
