Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
आर्तानाम् संश्रयः चैव यशसः च एक भाजनम् ।
ज्ञान विज्ञान संपन्नो निदेशो निरतः पितुः ॥४-१५-२०॥
ārtānām saṃśrayaḥ caiva yaśasaḥ ca eka bhājanam । jñāna vijñāna saṃpanno nideśo nirataḥ pituḥ ॥ ॥4-15-20॥
Translation
He is the refuge of the afflicted and the sole repository of fame. He is endowed with knowledge (sacred) and science (worldly), and is steadfast in the command of his father.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे पीड़ितों के आश्रयदाता हैं और यश के एकमात्र पात्र (भंडार) हैं। वे ज्ञान और विज्ञान से संपन्न हैं और अपने पिता की आज्ञा पालन में तत्पर रहते हैं।
English Commentary
Tara continues to list Rama's attributes. He is the eka bhājanam (sole vessel) of fame. He possesses both jñāna (spiritual wisdom) and vijñāna (practical/scientific knowledge). His moral compass is highlighted by pituḥ nideśo nirataḥ (dedicated to his father's command). Tara implies that Rama is not a whimsical warrior but a disciplined, ethical, and omniscient force. Fighting such a man is fighting Dharma itself.

तारा राम के गुणों का बखान करती है। 'यशसः एक भाजनम्'—संसार का सारा यश उनमें समाहित है। 'ज्ञान' (आत्मज्ञान/शास्त्र ज्ञान) और 'विज्ञान' (शास्त्रों का व्यावहारिक प्रयोग/शस्त्र ज्ञान) दोनों में वे पारंगत हैं। 'पितुः निदेशो निरतः' कहकर तारा राम की धर्मनिष्ठा बताती है—जो पिता के वचन के लिए वन में आया हो, वह अधर्म नहीं कर सकता। ऐसे धर्मात्मा से बैर करना वाली के लिए विनाशकारी होगा।
