तत् भवान् दण्ड सम्योगात् अस्मात् विगत कल्मषः ।
गतः स्वाम् प्रकृतिम् धर्म्याम् धर्म दिष्टेन वर्त्मना ॥४-१८-६२॥
tat bhavān daṇḍa samyogāt asmāt vigata kalmaṣaḥ । gataḥ svām prakṛtim dharmyām dharma diṣṭena vartmanā ॥ ॥4-18-62॥
Translation
"Therefore, having been cleansed of sin by this contact with punishment, you have returned to your own righteous nature through the path ordained by Dharma."

"इसलिए, इस दण्ड के संयोग से निष्पाप होकर, आप धर्म द्वारा निर्दिष्ट मार्ग से अपने स्वाभाविक धर्मयुक्त स्वरूप को प्राप्त हो गए हैं।"
English Commentary
Rama confirms Vali's spiritual restoration. The phrase 'danda samyogat' (through contact with punishment) signifies that the arrow acted as a purifying agent. Vali is now 'vigata kalmashah' (free from impurity). He has reclaimed his 'svam prakritim' (true nature), which is noble and divine, shedding the temporary aberration caused by lust and anger. Rama validates Vali’s earlier claim of attaining heaven, assuring him that he is now walking the path ordained by Dharma, free from the weight of his past misdeeds.

राम पुष्टि करते हैं कि वाली अब 'विगत कल्मषः' (पाप रहित) हो गया है। दण्ड ने उसके अधर्म (सुग्रीव की पत्नी का अपहरण) को धो दिया है। 'गतः स्वाम् प्रकृतिम्' का अर्थ है कि वाली अब अपनी मूल, वानरराज की गरिमा और इंद्र-पुत्र की दिव्यता में वापस आ गया है। पशु-सुलभ काम और क्रोध हट गए हैं। राम उसे यह विश्वास दिलाते हैं कि वह अब एक अपराधी की तरह नहीं, बल्कि एक वीर और धर्मात्मा की तरह शरीर त्यागेगा। यह वाली के लिए सबसे बड़ा उपहार है—मृत्यु के क्षण में सम्मान और शुद्धि की प्राप्ति।
