शराभितप्तेन विचेतसा मया प्रदूषितः त्वम् यद् अजानता विभो ।
इदम् महेन्द्रोपम भीम विक्रम प्रसादितः त्वम् क्षम मे नरेश्वर ॥४-१८-६६॥
sharābhitaptena vicetasā mayā pradūṣitaḥ tvam yad ajānatā vibho । idam mahendropama bhīma vikrama prasāditaḥ tvam kṣama me nareshvara ॥ ॥4-18-66॥
Translation
"O Lord of terrible prowess, equal to Mahendra! Whatever accusations I hurled at you out of ignorance, while bewildered and tormented by the arrow—I propitiate you for that. O King of men, please forgive me."

"हे महेन्द्र के समान पराक्रमी! हे भयानक विक्रम वाले प्रभो! बाण की पीड़ा से संतप्त और चेतना शून्य होने के कारण, अज्ञानवश मैंने जो आपको दोष लगाया था, उसके लिए मैं आपको प्रसन्न करता हूँ; हे नरेश्वर! आप मुझे क्षमा करें।"
English Commentary
Vali offers an unconditional apology. He attributes his earlier diatribe to the excruciating pain of the arrow ('sharabhitaptena') and a clouded mind ('vicetasa'). Addressing Rama with high epithets like 'Mahendropama' (comparable to the Great Indra) and 'Bhima vikrama' (of terrifying prowess), implies that he now recognizes Rama's divinity and warrior code. He asks for forgiveness ('kshama'), seeking to leave the world with no bad blood between them. It is a moment of total spiritual surrender and reconciliation.
