एवम् उक्त्वा प्रदुद्राव रुदती शोक मूर्च्छिता ।
शिरः च उरः च बाहुभ्याम् दुःखेन समभिघ्नती ॥४-१९-२०॥
evam uktvā pradudrāva rudatī śoka mūrcchitā । śiraḥ ca uraḥ ca bāhubhyām duḥkhena samabhighnatī ॥ ॥4-19-20॥
Translation
Speaking thus, she ran weeping, overwhelmed with grief, striking her head and chest with her arms in sorrow.

ऐसा कहकर वह रोती हुई और शोक से व्याकुल होकर दौड़ पड़ी, और दुःख के कारण अपनी भुजाओं से अपने सिर और छाती को पीटती जा रही थी।
English Commentary
This verse captures the visceral physical manifestation of Tara's grief. Abandoning royal decorum, she runs (pradudrāva) towards her husband. The act of striking her head and chest (samabhighnatī) is a universal gesture of intense mourning and despair. The phrase śoka mūrcchitā implies she is dazed or overwhelmed by sorrow, acting almost instinctively. The imagery serves to humanize the queen, stripping away her royal composure to reveal raw, agony-filled devotion.
