Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
रूप यौवन दृप्तानाम् दक्षिणानाम् च मानद ।
नूनम् अप्सरसाम् आर्य चित्तानि प्रमथिष्यसि ॥ ॥४-२०-१३॥
Rūpa yauvana dṛptānām dakṣiṇānām ca mānada । Nūnam apsarasām ārya cittāni pramathiṣyasi ॥ ॥4-20-13॥
Translation
O Bestower of Honor, O Noble One! Surely, you will now stir the hearts of the Apsaras in heaven, who are proud of their beauty and youth.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे मानद (दूसरों का मान रखने वाले) आर्य! निश्चय ही अब आप स्वर्ग में अपने रूप और यौवन पर गर्व करने वाली चतुर अप्सराओं के चित्त को मथ डालेंगे (उन्हें आकर्षित करेंगे)।
English Commentary
Even in death, Tara envisions a glorious afterlife for her husband. Addressing him as Arya (Noble One) and Manada (Giver of Honor), she predicts that his charisma is so potent it will disturb the minds of the celestial nymphs (Apsaras) in heaven. This reflects the belief that a warrior falling in battle ascends to the realm of heroes (Indra's heaven). The phrase "churning the minds" (pramathiṣyasi) suggests that just as he dominated on earth, his magnetic presence will dominate the celestial realms. It is a poignant mixture of praise for his vitality and the painful realization that he now belongs to another world, beyond her reach.

शोक की गहराई में भी तारा को अपने पति के शौर्य और पौरुष पर गर्व है। वह जानती हैं कि वाली एक वीर योद्धा की तरह रणभूमि में गिरे हैं, इसलिए वीरगति प्राप्त कर वह स्वर्ग (इन्द्रलोक) ही जाएंगे। यह श्लोक एक तरह से व्यंग्य और प्रशंसा का मिश्रण है। 'प्रमथिष्यसि' का अर्थ है 'मथना' या 'विचलित करना'। तारा कह रही हैं कि पृथ्वी पर मेरा साथ छूट गया, लेकिन स्वर्ग में अप्सराएं अब आप पर मोहित होंगी। यह भारतीय परंपरा की उस मान्यता को पुष्ट करता है जहाँ वीर योद्धा मृत्यु के उपरांत स्वर्ग के सुखों का भोग करते हैं। यह तारा के प्रेम और ईर्ष्या-मिश्रित विरह को दर्शाता है।
