सकामौ भव सुग्रीव रुमाम् त्वम् प्रतिपत्स्यसे ।
भुंक्ष्व राज्यम् अनुद्विग्नः शस्तो भ्राता रिपुः तव ॥ ॥४-२०-२१॥
Sakāmo bhava sugrīva rumām tvam pratipatsyase । Bhuṃkṣva rājyam anudvignaḥ śasto bhrātā ripuḥ tava ॥ ॥4-20-21॥
Translation
Be fulfilled in your desires, O Sugriva; you will regain Ruma. Enjoy the kingdom without anxiety; your brother, who was your enemy, has been killed.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे सुग्रीव! अब तुम अपनी कामना पूर्ण करो, तुम्हें रुमा वापस मिल जाएगी। अब तुम बिना किसी चिंता (अनुद्विग्न) के राज्य का भोग करो, क्योंकि तुम्हारा शत्रु रूपी भाई मारा गया है।
English Commentary
Tara turns her attention to the victor, Sugriva, with words that sting. She tells him to be satisfied (sakāmo bhava) as he has achieved his goals: regaining his wife Ruma and the kingdom. The phrase anudvignaḥ (without anxiety/fear) suggests that the source of his fear—Vali—is gone. However, by juxtaposing bhrātā (brother) and ripuḥ (enemy), she highlights the tragic irony of the situation. It is a bitter congratulation, forcing Sugriva to confront the reality that his "peace" is built upon the corpse of his own brother. It is an accusatory acceptance of the new political order.

तारा अब सीधे सुग्रीव को संबोधित करती हैं। उनके स्वर में गहरा विषाद और तीखा व्यंग्य है। वह कहती हैं, "सकामो भव" (अपनी इच्छा पूरी कर लो)। जिस भाई ने तुम्हें मारा नहीं था, केवल निर्वासित किया था, उसे तुमने मरवा दिया—अब तुम 'अनुद्विग्न' (चिंता रहित) हो। यहाँ 'भ्राता रिपुः' (भाई जो शत्रु है) का प्रयोग करके तारा उस विडंबना को उजागर करती हैं जहाँ सत्ता और स्त्री के लिए भाई ही भाई का काल बन गया। यह सुग्रीव के लिए विजय है, लेकिन पारिवारिक दृष्टि से यह एक भयानक त्रासदी है जिसे तारा सुग्रीव के मुख पर मार रही हैं।
