ततो निपतिताम् ताराम् च्युताम् ताराम् इव अंबरात् ।
शनैः आश्वासयामास हनूमान् हरि यूथपः ॥ ॥४-२१-१॥
tato nipatitām tārām cyutām tārām iva aṃbarāt । śanaiḥ āśvāsayāmāsa hanūmān hari yūthapaḥ ॥ ॥4-21-1॥
Translation
Then, Hanuman, the leader of the monkey troops, gently began to console Tara, who had fallen on the ground like a star fallen from the sky.

तब आकाश से टूटे हुए तारे के समान भूमि पर पड़ी हुई तारा को, वानर यूथपति हनुमान ने धीरे-धीरे सांत्वना देना आरंभ किया।
English Commentary
This verse employs a beautiful simile. Tara's name literally means "Star." The poet describes her lying on the ground like a star fallen from the ambara (sky), symbolizing both her fall from royal grace and her utter despair. Hanuman enters as the Hari Yuthapa (Leader of Vanara troops), representing wisdom and stability. He consoles her shanaih (gently/slowly), which is the mark of a skilled counselor—one must bring a grieving person back to reality gradually rather than abruptly.

यहाँ एक सुंदर उपमा (Simile) है। 'तारा' नाम का अर्थ है 'नक्षत्र' या 'स्टार'। कवि कहते हैं कि रानी तारा ऐसे ज़मीन पर पड़ी हैं जैसे आकाश (अंबर) से कोई तारा टूट कर गिर गया हो। यह उनकी हताशा और पतन दोनों को दर्शाता है। हनुमान जी का प्रवेश 'हरि यूथपः' (वानर सेनापति) के रूप में होता है, जो 'नीति' और 'धर्म' के ज्ञाता हैं। वे 'शनैः' (धीरे-धीरे) सांत्वना देते हैं, जो एक कुशल परामर्शदाता का लक्षण है—अत्यधिक शोक में डूबे व्यक्ति को झटके से नहीं, बल्कि धीरे-धीरे वास्तविकता की ओर लाना चाहिए।
