Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
संततिः च यथा दृष्टा कृत्यम् यत् च अपि सांप्रतम् ।
राज्ञः तत् क्रियताम् सर्वम् एष कालस्य निश्चयः ॥ ॥४-२१-१०॥
saṃtatiḥ ca yathā dṛṣṭā kṛtyam yat ca api sāṃpratam । rājñaḥ tat kriyatām sarvam eṣa kālasya niścayaḥ ॥ ॥4-21-10॥
Translation
Do whatever is necessary to ensure the continuity of the lineage and perform the immediate duties (funeral rites) for the King. This is the decree of Time.

जिससे संतान (वंश) की रक्षा हो और जो इस समय (प्रेतकार्य आदि) कर्तव्य है, राजा के लिए वह सब करो। यही काल (समय) का निश्चय है।
English Commentary
Hanuman invokes Kalasya nishchayah (the resolve/decree of Time) to urge Tara to submit to destiny. Accepting tragedy as the inevitable flow of time is a stoic way to cope with grief. He directs her focus to two things: santati (protecting the future lineage) and sampratam krityam (performing the immediate present duties/funeral rites). It is a strong call to abandon paralyzing emotion in favor of pragmatic duty for the sake of the state and the soul of the departed.

यहाँ हनुमान जी 'कालस्य निश्चयः' (समय का निर्णय) का हवाला देकर तारा को विधि के विधान के सामने झुकने का आग्रह करते हैं। जब मनुष्य किसी त्रासदी का सामना करता है, तो उसे 'ईश्वर की इच्छा' या 'समय का चक्र' मानकर स्वीकार करना ही एकमात्र मार्ग होता है। हनुमान जी तारा से दो चीजों पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने को कह रहे हैं: 'संतति' (भविष्य/वंश की रक्षा) और 'सांप्रतम् कृत्यम्' (वर्तमान कर्तव्य/अंतिम संस्कार)। भावुकता को छोड़कर व्यावहारिकता अपनाने का यह प्रबल आह्वान है।
