Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
तौ इमौ शोक संतप्तौ शनैः प्रेरय भामिनि ।
त्वया परिगृहीतो अयम् अंगदः शास्तु मेदिनीम् ।
॥४-२१-९॥
tau imau śoka saṃtaptau śanaiḥ preraya bhāmini । tvayā parigṛhīto ayam aṃgadaḥ śāstu medinīm । ॥4-21-9॥
Translation
O noble lady! Gently inspire these two (Angada and the ministers/Sugriva) who are scorched by grief. Let Angada, supported and guided by you, rule the earth.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे भामिनि (क्रोध/तेज युक्त देवि)! शोक से संतप्त इन दोनों (अंगद और सुग्रीव/मंत्रियों) को धीरे-धीरे कर्तव्य की ओर प्रेरित करो। तुम्हारे द्वारा संभाला हुआ यह अंगद पृथ्वी का शासन करे।
English Commentary
Hanuman steps into the role of a kingmaker here, proposing the role of 'Queen Mother' to Tara. The address Bhamini (passionate/radiant lady) acknowledges her spirited nature, implying she has the strength to lead. Hanuman’s suggestion is political pragmatism: while Angada may technically rule, he needs to be parigrihitah (held/supported) by Tara. He is essentially offering her a regency, emphasizing that her survival is crucial not just for her son, but for the stability of the entire kingdom.

हनुमान जी यहाँ 'किंगमेकर' की भूमिका में हैं और तारा को 'राजमाता' का पद प्रस्तावित कर रहे हैं। 'भामिनि' संबोधन यहाँ तारा के तेजस्वी स्वभाव को इंगित करता है; वे जानते हैं कि केवल तारा ही इस बिखरती स्थिति को संभाल सकती हैं। हनुमान जी का सुझाव स्पष्ट है: यद्यपि राजा अंगद होंगे, परन्तु सत्ता की वास्तविक डोर ('परिगृहीतो') तारा के हाथ में होगी। वे तारा को यह अहसास दिला रहे हैं कि उनका जीवन केवल उनके लिए नहीं, बल्कि राज्य की स्थिरता के लिए आवश्यक है।
