पुष्प ओघेण अनुबद्धन्ते करिष्यति तत् अद्य कहः ।
येन दत्तम् महत् युद्धम् गन्धर्वस्य महात्मनः ॥ ॥४-२२-२८॥
Puṣpa ogheṇa anubaddhante kariṣyati tat adya kahaḥ । Yena dattam mahat yuddham gandharvasya mahātmanaḥ ॥ ॥4-22-28॥
Translation
...were laden with masses of flowers (due to the wind generated by his speed); who will do that now? By whom a great battle was given to the mighty Gandharva.

...(जिसके वेग से वन) फूलों के समूहों से आच्छादित हो जाते थे, अब वह कार्य कौन करेगा? जिसने महात्मा गन्धर्व (गोलभ) के साथ महान युद्ध किया था।
English Commentary
This completes the thought from the previous verse. Wali’s movement was so rapid that the wind displacement caused trees to shed "pushpa oghena" (masses of flowers), carpeting the forests. The rhetorical question "Who will do that now?" signifies that Wali was irreplaceable; his physical feats were unique laws of nature in Kishkindha. The verse also references his legendary duel with the "Mahatmana Gandharva" (the mighty Gandharva Golabha). This battle, which lasted 15 years, established Wali's supremacy globally. Recalling these specific feats highlights the magnitude of the loss—they haven't just lost a leader, but a legend.

वानर बालि के पराक्रम को याद कर रहे हैं। बालि का वेग इतना तीव्र था कि जब वे चलते थे, तो वायु के झोंकों से वृक्षों से फूल झड़कर वनों को ढक लेते थे ('पुष्प ओघेण')। वानर पूछते हैं, "अब ऐसा कौन करेगा?" यह प्रश्न उनकी हताशा को दिखाता है—बालि अद्वितीय थे। इसके साथ ही, वे बालि के उस प्रसिद्ध युद्ध को याद करते हैं जो उन्होंने गन्धर्व (गोलभ) के साथ लड़ा था। वह युद्ध वर्षों चला था और बालि की शक्ति का प्रमाण था। बालि केवल एक राजा नहीं, बल्कि एक रक्षक योद्धा थे, और उनकी वह जगह कोई नहीं भर सकता।
