ऋक्ष वानर मुख्याः त्वाम् बलिनम् पर्युपासते ।
तेषाम् विलपितम् कृच्छ्रम् अंगदस्य च शोचतः ॥ ॥४-२३-५॥
Ṛkṣa vānara mukhyāḥ tvām balinam paryupāsate । Teṣām vilapitam kṛcchram aṅgadasya ca śocataḥ ॥ ॥4-23-5॥
Translation
The chiefs of the bears and monkeys, mighty ones, serve you (sit around you). [Listen to] their painful lamentation and that of the grieving Angada.

ये प्रमुख रीछ और वानर, जो बलवान हैं, आपकी उपासना कर रहे हैं (आपके पास बैठे हैं)। इनके और शोक करते हुए अंगद के इस कष्टपूर्ण विलाप को (सुनिए)।
English Commentary
Tara attempts to rouse Vali by pointing out his surroundings. His subjects, the chiefs of bears and monkeys, are gathered around him ("Paryupasate") just as they would in his royal court, but the atmosphere is of grief, not governance. She specifically draws attention to Angada's weeping, invoking paternal instinct. The commentary highlights the tragedy of a silent king surrounded by his loyalists. The word "Krichhram" (painful/difficult) describes the sound of their collective grief, implying that if Vali were alive, he would never allow his subjects and son to suffer so.
