ताम् चारु नेत्राम् कपि सिंह नाथाम् पतिम् समाश्लिष्य तद शयानाम् ।
उत्थापयामासुः अदीन सत्त्वाम् मंत्रि प्रधानाः कपि राज पत्नीम् ॥ ॥४-२४-२६॥
tām cāru netrām kapi siṃha nāthām patim samāśliṣya tada śayānām । utthāpayāmāsuḥ adīna sattvām mantri pradhānāḥ kapi rāja patnīm ॥ ॥4-24-26॥
Translation
"The chief ministers raised up that wife of the monkey-king, the beautiful-eyed one, whose lord was the lion among monkeys, and who was lying there embracing her husband, possessing an undepressed (noble) spirit."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"वानर-राज (वाली) की पत्नी, सुंदर नेत्रों वाली, वानर-सिंह (वाली) जिसका स्वामी था, और जो उस समय अपने पति को गले लगाकर लेटी हुई थी—उस अदीन सत्त्वा (महान मन वाली/तेजस्विनी) तारा को मुख्य मंत्रियों ने उठाया।"
English Commentary
The ministers intervene to physically separate Tara from Vali’s body. Despite her prostrate grief, she is described as adīna sattvām—one whose spirit/essence is not broken or base. She retains her majesty even in tragedy. The contrast between her delicate beauty (cāru netrām) and the grim reality of clutching her dead husband (patim samāśliṣya) is poignant. The act of raising her up (utthāpayāmāsuḥ) signifies the beginning of the next phase: the confrontation with Rama and the eventual coronation of Sugriva. She must rise from the personal loss to address the political shift.

मंत्रीगण तारा को जमीन से उठाते हैं। तारा का वर्णन 'चारु नेत्राम्' (सुंदर आँखों वाली) और 'अदीन सत्त्वाम्' (जिसका सत्व/आत्मा दीन नहीं है) के रूप में किया गया है। यद्यपि वह गहरे शोक में है, उसका आत्मबल और तेज अभी भी कायम है; वह 'दीन' (बेचारी) नहीं है। वह एक महारानी की गरिमा के साथ शोक मना रही है। वह अपने पति 'कपि सिंह' को गले लगाकर लेटी थी। मंत्रियों द्वारा उसे उठाना यह संकेत है कि अब उसे विलाप से बाहर आकर राज्य की वास्तविकता और राम का सामना करना होगा।
