प्रीतिम् पराम् प्राप्स्यसि ताम् तथा एव पुत्रः च ते प्रप्स्यति यौव राज्यम् ।
धात्र विधानम् विहितम् तथा एव न शूर पत्न्यः परिदेवयन्ति ॥४-२४-४३॥
Prītim parām prāpsyasi tām tathā eva putraḥ ca te prapsyati yauva rājyam । Dhātra vidhānam vihitam tathā eva na śūra patnyaḥ paridevayanti ॥ ॥4-24-43॥
Translation
You will obtain that supreme joy just as before, and your son will attain the position of Crown Prince. Such is the ordinance of the Creator. Wives of heroes do not lament (in this manner).
हिंदी अनुवाद
(भविष्य में) तुम वैसी ही परम प्रीति (सुख) प्राप्त करोगी और तुम्हारा पुत्र (अंगद) यौवराज्य (युवराज पद) प्राप्त करेगा। विधाता का ऐसा ही विधान है। (अतः) शूरवीरों की पत्नियां (इस प्रकार) विलाप नहीं करतीं।
English Commentary
Rama moves from philosophy to pragmatism. He offers Tara a concrete reason to live: the future of her son, Angada. By promising that Angada will be the Crown Prince (Yauva rājyam), Rama secures Tara’s political status and ensures her protection within the kingdom. He assures her that she will find joy again. He concludes with a gentle admonition regarding her conduct: "Wives of heroes do not lament." This is a call to duty. She has a role to play as the Queen Mother and the guide to the new administration. Acceptance of the Creator's law (Dhātra vidhānam) involves fulfilling one's remaining duties with dignity.
हिंदी टीका
दार्शनिक ज्ञान के बाद राम अब व्यावहारिक सांत्वना दे रहे हैं। वे तारा को भविष्य की आशा दिखाते हैं। वे वचन देते हैं कि उसका पुत्र अंगद 'यौव राज्यम्' (युवराज का पद) प्राप्त करेगा। एक माँ के लिए, पुत्र की उन्नति पति के वियोग के दुख को कम करने का सबसे बड़ा मरहम होता है। राम उसे पुनः याद दिलाते हैं, 'न शूर पत्न्यः परिदेवयन्ति'—अर्थात् क्षत्राणियों या वीर पत्नियों को साधारण स्त्रियों की तरह रोना-धोना शोभा नहीं देता। उन्हें धैर्य धारण करना चाहिए। यहाँ राम ने स्पष्ट कर दिया कि वाली के बाद सुग्रीव राजा बनेंगे, लेकिन तारा के हितों (उसके पुत्र के भविष्य) की रक्षा की जाएगी।
