Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
सज्जी भवन्तु प्लवगाः शिबिक वाहन उचिताः ।
समर्था बलिनः चैव निर्हरिष्यन्ति वालिनम् ॥४-२५-१८॥
sajjī bhavantu plabagāḥ śibikā vāhana ucitāḥ |
samarthā balinaḥ caiva nirhariṣyanti vālinam ॥4-25-18॥
Translation
Let the Vanaras who are fit to carry the palanquin get ready; only those who are capable and strong shall carry Vali out.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जो वानर शिबिका को उठाने के योग्य हों, वे तैयार हो जाएं; जो समर्थ और बलवान हों, वे ही वाली (के शव) को ले जाएंगे।
English Commentary
This instruction ensures the dignity of the funeral procession. The King’s body is not to be carried by mere laborers, but by 'capable and strong' warriors (plabagah). Carrying the palanquin is an honor. Lakshmana specifies that only the fittest should perform this duty, reflecting the martial culture of the Vanaras. It signifies that Vali, a supreme warrior, is being escorted to his final rest by his peers in strength.

यह अंतिम यात्रा की गरिमा बनाए रखने का निर्देश है। राजा का शव साधारण सेवकों द्वारा नहीं, बल्कि 'समर्थ' और 'बलवान' योद्धाओं द्वारा उठाया जाना चाहिए। 'निर्हरिष्यन्ति' का अर्थ है (नगर से बाहर) ले जाना। यह वाली के प्रति सम्मान का सूचक है कि उनके अपने वीर सैनिक ही उन्हें अंतिम विश्राम स्थल तक कंधे पर उठाकर ले जाएंगे, जैसा कि एक योद्धा राजा के लिए उचित है।
