विश्राणयन्तो रत्नानि विविधानि बहूनि च ।
अग्रतः प्लवगा यान्तु शिबिका तद् अनंतरम् ॥ ॥४-२५-३१॥
Viśrāṇayanto ratnāni vividhāni bahūni ca । Agrataḥ plavagā yāntu śibikā tad anaṃtaram ॥ ॥4-25-31॥
Translation
"Let the monkeys proceed in front, scattering various kinds of gems in abundance, and let the palanquin follow behind them."

"वानर (सेवक) अनेक प्रकार के बहुत से रत्नों का दान (बिखेरते) करते हुए आगे चलें और शिबिका उनके पीछे चले।"
English Commentary
This verse details the order of the procession and the custom of distributing largesse. Scattering gems (viśrāṇayantaḥ ratnāni) during a funeral procession is a royal prerogative, intended to generate merit for the deceased and display their magnificence one last time. Sugriva instructs the monkeys to lead the way distributing this wealth, with the king's body following. It emphasizes that Vali departs as a wealthy and generous king, not as a defeated warrior.

यह श्लोक शवयात्रा के क्रम और दान की परंपरा को दर्शाता है। प्राचीन काल में राजाओं की अंतिम यात्रा में धन और रत्न लुटाने की प्रथा थी, जिसे 'विश्राणन' कहा गया है। यह दान याचकों के लिए होता था और राजा की उदारता का अंतिम प्रदर्शन माना जाता था। शिबिका का पीछे चलना और सेवकों का आगे चलना एक व्यवस्थित जुलूस का संकेत है। सुग्रीव यह सुनिश्चित कर रहे हैं कि वाली की विदाई में कोई कमी न रहे।
