Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अनुजग्मुः च भर्तारम् क्रोशंत्यः करुण स्वनाः ।
तासाम् रुदित शब्देन वानरीणाम् वन अंतरे ॥ ॥४-२५-३६॥
Anujagmuḥ ca bhartāram krośaṃtyaḥ karuṇa svanāḥ । Tāsām rudita śabdena vānarīṇām vana aṃtare ॥ ॥4-25-36॥
Translation
Wailing with piteous voices, they followed their husband. The interior of the forest echoed with the sound of the weeping of those female monkeys.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे करुण स्वर में रोती हुई अपने पति (के शव) के पीछे-पीछे चल रही थीं। उन वानरियों के रोने के शब्द से वन का कोना-कोना गूंज उठा।
English Commentary
The final verse of this section describes the acoustic impact of the grief. The wailing of the women following their husband (bhartaram) permeates the deep forest (vana antare). It creates an atmosphere of total desolation. The word anujagmuh (followed) implies physically walking behind the corpse, but also spiritually accompanying him in his transition. The forest, usually a place of wild sounds, is now dominated by the singular sound of tragedy.

यह श्लोक वातावरण पर शोक के प्रभाव का वर्णन करता है। रानियों का रुदन इतना तीव्र और सामूहिक था कि उसने वन के एकांत (वन अंतरे) को भर दिया। 'अनुजग्मुः भर्तारम्' (पति का अनुगमन किया) सतीत्व और निष्ठा का भाव दर्शाता है—वे अंत तक अपने स्वामी का साथ नहीं छोड़ रही हैं। प्रकृति और मानवीय (वानर) संवेदनाओं का यहाँ एकाकार हो गया है, मानो वन भी उनके साथ रो रहा हो।
