तस्थुः एकांतम् आश्रित्य सर्वे शोक परायणाः ।
ततः तारा पतिम् दृष्ट्वा शिबिका तल शायिनम् ॥ ॥४-२५-३९॥
Tasthuḥ ekāntam āśritya sarve śoka parāyaṇāḥ । Tataḥ tārā patim dṛṣṭvā śibikā tala śāyinam ॥ ॥4-25-39॥
Translation
Overwhelmed with grief, they all stood aside in a secluded spot. Then, Tara saw her husband lying on the floor of the palanquin.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे सभी (वानर) शोक में डूबे हुए एक ओर एकांत में खड़े हो गए। तब तारा ने अपने पति को शिबिका के तल पर लेटे हुए देखा।
English Commentary
The scene is poignant and respectful. The crowd steps back into a secluded corner, giving Tara space for her private grief. This physical distancing emphasizes the loneliness of the mourner despite being in a crowd. Seeing the mighty King Vali lying on the "floor of the palanquin" underscores the leveling nature of death; the once-dynamic warrior is now still, reduced to a body awaiting cremation.
