इतः स्वाम् प्रकृतिम् वाली गतः प्राप्तः क्रिया फलम् ।
साम दान अर्थ संयोगैः पवित्रम् प्लवग ईश्वर ॥४-२५-९॥
itaḥ svām prakṛtim vālī gataḥ prāptaḥ kriyā phalam |
sāma dāna artha saṃyogaiḥ pavitram plavaga īśvara ॥4-25-9॥
Translation
Having attained the sacred fruit of his actions, and having successfully applied conciliation, charity, and wealth, the Lord of Monkeys, Vali, has departed from here to his natural state (the afterlife).
हिंदी अनुवाद
वानरराज वाली अपने कर्मों (क्रिया) के पवित्र फल को प्राप्त करके, और साम, दान तथा अर्थ के संयोग से युक्त होकर, अब यहाँ से अपनी मूल प्रकृति (परलोक/मृत्यु) को प्राप्त हो गए हैं।
English Commentary
Turning from abstract philosophy to the specific honor of the deceased, Rama validates Vali's life. He acknowledges Vali not just as a brute force, but as a King ('Plavaga Ishvara') who understood statecraft (Sama, Dana) and enjoyed the fruits of his merits. By stating Vali has reached his 'natural state' carrying the fruits of his good deeds, Rama assures Tara that Vali's afterlife is secure. This is crucial for comforting the bereaved—knowing that the departed lived fully and achieved what was necessary brings closure.

अब श्रीराम वाली के जीवन की प्रशंसा कर रहे हैं ताकि उनके परिजनों को गर्व की अनुभूति हो। वाली का जीवन व्यर्थ नहीं गया। उसने एक राजा के रूप में 'साम' (मैत्री/समझौता) और 'दान' जैसे राजनीतिक और धार्मिक गुणों का पालन किया। 'स्वाम् प्रकृतिम् गतः' का अर्थ है कि वह उस अवस्था में गया है जहाँ जाना सबका स्वभाव है। श्रीराम यह सांत्वना दे रहे हैं कि वाली एक सफल और पवित्र जीवन जीकर गए हैं, अतः उनके लिए अत्यधिक शोक करना उनके यशस्वी जीवन का अपमान होगा।
