वृत्तज्ञो वृत्त संपन्नम् उदार बल विक्रमम् ।
इमम् अपि अंगदम् वीरम् यौवराज्ये अभिषेचय ॥ ॥४-२६-१२॥
Vṛttajño vṛtta sampannam udāra bala vikramam । Imam api aṅgadam vīram yauvarājye abhiṣecaya ॥ ॥4-26-12॥
Translation
"You know the codes of conduct. Crown this hero Angada, who is endowed with good conduct, nobility, strength, and valor, as the Crown Prince."

"तुम धर्म और व्यवहार के जानकार हो। इस अंगद को, जो सदाचार से संपन्न, उदार और बल-पराक्रम से युक्त है, युवराज पद पर अभिषिक्त करो।"
English Commentary
This is a masterstroke of diplomacy by Rama. By ordering Angada's installation as "Yuvaraja" (Crown Prince), Rama heals the fracture in the kingdom. He praises Angada's character ("vritta sampannam") and strength to justify the appointment. He appeals to Sugriva as one who knows proper conduct ("vrittajnah"), subtly implying that securing the nephew's position is not just politically smart but morally right. This ensures unity between the factions of Vali and Sugriva.

यह राम की कूटनीतिक दूरदर्शिता का उत्कृष्ट उदाहरण है। सुग्रीव को राजा बनाने के साथ ही, वे वाली के पुत्र अंगद को 'युवराज' बनाने का आदेश देते हैं। राम जानते हैं कि अंगद लोकप्रिय और शक्तिशाली ('बल विक्रमम्') है। उसे सत्ता में भागीदार बनाने से गृहयुद्ध की संभावना समाप्त हो जाती है और वाली के वफादार भी संतुष्ट हो जाते हैं। राम सुग्रीव को 'वृत्तज्ञ' (आचार व्यवहार का ज्ञाता) कहकर याद दिलाते हैं कि अपने भाई के पुत्र को अपनाना ही उचित धर्म है।
