Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अभिगम्य महाबाहुम् रामम् अक्लिष्ट कारिणम् ।
स्थिताः प्रांजलयः सर्वे पितामहम् इव ऋषयः ॥ ॥४-२६-२॥
Abhigamya mahābāhum rāmam akliṣṭa kāriṇam । Sthitāḥ prāñjalayaḥ sarve pitāmaham iva ṛṣayaḥ ॥ ॥4-26-2॥
Translation
Having approached the mighty-armed Rama, who is unwearied in action, they all stood with folded hands, just as the Sages stand before Brahma (the Grandfather).

वे सब (सुग्रीव और मंत्री) महाबाहु और बिना थके कर्म करने वाले राम के पास जाकर हाथ जोड़कर वैसे ही खड़े हो गए, जैसे ऋषिगण ब्रह्माजी (पितामह) के पास खड़े होते हैं।
English Commentary
The simile used here elevates Rama to a divine status relative to the Vanaras. Comparing them to Sages approaching Brahma ("Pitamaha") suggests they are seeking divine ordination or permission to proceed with the new order. The epithet "akliṣṭa kāriṇam" (doer of unwearied deeds) characterizes Rama as a tireless upholder of Dharma. The folded hands indicate submission and the acknowledgement of Rama as the supreme authority over Kishkindha's fate.
