भ्रातुर् अंतः पुरम् सौम्यम् प्रविवेश महाबलः ।
प्रविष्टम् भीम विक्रांतम् सुग्रीवम् वानरर्षभम् ॥ ॥४-२६-२२॥
bhrātur antaḥ puram saumyam praviveśa mahābalaḥ । praviṣṭam bhīma vikrāntam sugrīvam vānararṣabham ॥ ॥4-26-22॥
Translation
The mighty one entered the pleasing inner apartments of his brother. Thus, Sugriva, of terrible prowess and the bull among Vanaras, entered therein.

महाबली सुग्रीव ने अपने भाई के सौम्य अंतःपुर में प्रवेश किया। उस समय भीम पराक्रमी और वानरों में श्रेष्ठ सुग्रीव ने वहां प्रवेश किया।
English Commentary
Entering the 'antaḥpuram' (inner royal apartments) is a definitive act of claiming sovereignty. It signifies taking possession of the domestic and administrative heart of the kingdom. The verse juxtaposes the aesthetic beauty ('saumyam') of the palace with the formidable power ('bhīma vikrāntam') of Sugriva. This entry serves as the final confirmation that the era of Vali has ended and the reign of Sugriva has begun. It is a moment of heavy transition, where the warrior steps into the role of the householder-king, assuming responsibility for the royal household.
