गीत वादित्र निर्घोषः श्रूयते जयताम् वर ।
नदताम् वानराणाम् च मृदंग आडंबरैः सह ॥ ॥४-२७-२७॥
Gīta vāditra nirghoṣaḥ śrūyate jayatām vara । Nadatām vānarāṇām ca mṛdaṅga āḍambaraiḥ saha ॥ ॥4-27-27॥
Translation
O Best among victors! The sound of vocal and instrumental music is being heard, accompanied by the roaring of monkeys and the beating of Mridanga drums.

हे विजेताओं में श्रेष्ठ! मृदंग की गंभीर ध्वनि के साथ वानरों का गर्जन और गीत-वाद्य का घोष सुनाई दे रहा है।
English Commentary
Sounds of celebration draft from Kishkindha to the mountain. Rama hears music and drums, signifying Sugriva's restoration to power and pleasure. Addressing Lakshmana as jayatām vara (best among conquerors) is significant; it serves as a subtle affirmation that despite their current isolation, they too are destined for victory, contrasting their quiet determination with the monkeys' boisterous revelry.

यहाँ किष्किंधा में हो रहे उत्सव और प्रस्रवण पर्वत की शांति के बीच विरोधाभास है। सुग्रीव अपना राज्य और पत्नी पाकर आनंद मना रहे हैं, जिसकी ध्वनि श्रीराम तक पहुँच रही है। 'जयताम् वर' (विजेताओं में श्रेष्ठ) कहकर श्रीराम लक्ष्मण का उत्साहवर्धन करते हैं, मानो कह रहे हों कि अंततः विजय हमारी भी होगी।
