रस आकुलम् षट्पद संनिकाशम् प्रभुज्यते जंबु फलम् प्रकामम् ।
अनेक वर्णम् पवन अवधूतम् भूमौ पतति आम्र फलम् विपक्वम् ॥ ॥४-२८-१९॥
Rasa ākulam ṣaṭpada sannikāśam prabhujyate jambu phalam prakāmam । aneka varṇam pavana avadhūtam bhūmau patati āmra phalam vipakvam ॥ ॥4-28-19॥
Translation
The rose-apple (Jambu) fruits, juicy and black like bumblebees, are being consumed in abundance. The fully ripe mangoes of various colors, shaken by the wind, are falling to the ground.
हिंदी अनुवाद
भौरों के समान काले और रस से भरे जामुन के फल अब खूब खाए जा रहे हैं। हवा के झकोरों से हिलाए गए, अनेक रंगों वाले पके हुए आम भूमि पर गिर रहे हैं।
English Commentary
The rainy season brings abundance. Rama describes the forest bounty: Jambu (rose-apple) fruits, which are as black as bees and full of juice, are ripe for eating. Meanwhile, ripe mangoes of various hues, unable to hold on against the wind, fall to the ground. This imagery highlights the fertility of the season and the availability of sustenance in the forest, even as it serves as a simple, observational appreciation of nature's cycles.

वर्षा ऋतु केवल जल नहीं, बल्कि प्रचुरता और पोषण भी लाती है। जामुन और आम जैसे फलों की परिपक्वता का वर्णन यहाँ है। जामुन की तुलना भौरों (षट्पद) से करना उसके काले रंग और आकार को दर्शाता है। पके हुए आमों का टपकना वर्षा के हवाओं के प्रभाव को दिखाता है। यह वन में जीवन की सुलभता का वर्णन है, जो वनवास के दौरान भोजन की उपलब्धता की ओर भी संकेत करता है।
