मेघ अभिकामा परिसंपतन्ती सम्मोदिता भाति बलाक पंक्तिः ।
वात अवधूटा वर पौण्डरीकी लंब इव माला रुचिर अंबरस्य ॥ ॥४-२८-२३॥
Megha abhikāmā parisampatantī sammoditā bhāti balāka paṅktiḥ । vāta avadhūtā vara pauṇḍarīkī lamba iva mālā rucira ambarasya ॥ ॥4-28-23॥
Translation
The line of joyful cranes, flying swiftly with a desire to reach the clouds, looks beautiful like a garland of excellent white lotuses of the sky, hanging down and swayed by the wind.
हिंदी अनुवाद
बादलों की ओर जाने की इच्छा से उड़ती हुई और हर्षित बगुलों की पंक्ति ऐसी सुशोभित हो रही है, मानो हवा से हिलाई गई आकाश की सुंदर श्वेत कमलों की लटकती हुई माला हो।
English Commentary
A visually striking verse focusing on contrast and aesthetics. The dark monsoon clouds serve as a backdrop for the pure white cranes flying in formation. Rama compares this line of birds to a 'vara pauṇḍarīkī mālā'—a garland of excellent white lotuses—adorning the sky. The movement of the birds in the wind mimics the swaying of a garland, turning the sky into a decorated entity.

यहाँ आकाश के सौंदर्य का चित्रात्मक वर्णन है। काले बादलों (मेघ) की पृष्ठभूमि पर उड़ते हुए सफेद बगुले (बलाक) एक अद्भुत विरोधाभास (contrast) उत्पन्न करते हैं। उपमा अलंकार का प्रयोग करते हुए, इन्हें 'अंबर की कमल-माला' कहा गया है। आकाश मानो एक देवता है और बगुलों की कतार उसके गले में हिलती हुई श्वेत कमलों की माला है।
