अंगार चूर्ण उत्कर संनिकाशैः फलैः सुपर्याप्त रसैः समृद्धैः ।
जंबू द्रुमाणाम् प्रविभान्ति शाखानि पीयमाना इव षट्पद ओघैः ॥ ॥४-२८-३०॥
Aṅgāra cūrṇa utkara sannikāśaiḥ phalaiḥ suparyāpta rasaiḥ samṛddhaiḥ । jambū drumāṇām pravibhānti śākhā nipīyamānā iva ṣaṭpada oghaiḥ ॥ ॥4-28-30॥
Translation
The branches of Jambu trees, laden with large, juicy fruits resembling heaps of charcoal powder, appear as if they are being drunk (or covered) by swarms of bees.
हिंदी अनुवाद
कोयले के चूर्ण के ढेर के समान काले, रसीले और बड़े फलों से लदी हुई जामुन के वृक्षों की शाखाएं ऐसी शोभा दे रही हैं, मानो भौरों के समूह उनका रस पी रहे हों (या उन्हें ढक लिया हो)।
English Commentary
Rama uses a vivid simile to describe the Jambu (rose-apple) trees. The ripe fruits are so black and plentiful that they look like piles of charcoal dust. The dense clustering of these black fruits creates an optical illusion, making the branches appear as if they are swarmed by black bees sucking the sap, emphasizing the abundance of food in the forest.

जामुन के फलों का काला रंग 'अंगार चूर्ण' (बुझे हुए कोयले का पाउडर) जैसा बताया गया है। फलों की अधिकता इतनी है कि दूर से देखने पर लगता है कि पूरी डाली पर काले भौरे बैठे हैं। 'निपीयमाना इव' (मानो पी जा रही हों) उत्प्रेक्षा अलंकार है, जो दृश्य की सघनता को बढ़ाता है।
