वचो विज्ञाय हनुमान् सुग्रीवस्य महात्मनः ।
पर्वतात् ऋष्यमूकात् तु पुप्लुवे यत्र राघवौ ॥ ॥४-३-१॥
Vaco vijñāya hanumān sugrīvasya mahātmanaḥ । Parvatāt ṛṣyamūkāt tu pupluve yatra rāghavau ॥ ॥4-3-1॥
Translation
Having fully understood the words (and intent) of the high-souled Sugriva, Hanuman leapt from the Rishyamuka mountain toward the place where the two Raghavas were.
हिंदी अनुवाद
महात्मा सुग्रीव के वचनों (आशय) को भली-भांति समझकर, हनुमान ऋष्यमूक पर्वत से उस ओर उछलकर (कूदकर) गए, जहां रघुकुल के दोनों वीर (राम और लक्ष्मण) थे।
English Commentary
This verse marks the beginning of the actual encounter. The phrase Vaco vijnaya (having specially understood the speech) implies that Hanuman grasped the nuance of the mission—he acts not just as a messenger, but as a protective minister. The verb Pupluve (leapt/flew) emphasizes the urgency and his supernatural ability. Leaving the safety of Rishyamuka to approach potential threats requires courage. This physical leap symbolizes the first step in bridging the destiny of the Vanaras with the divine mission of the Raghavas.

यह श्लोक किष्किंधा कांड के तीसरे सर्ग का आरम्भ है। 'वचो विज्ञाय' (वचनों को विशेष रूप से जानकर) का अर्थ है कि हनुमान जी ने केवल शब्दों को नहीं, बल्कि सुग्रीव की चिंता की गहराई को समझा। 'पुप्लुवे' (उछले) शब्द हनुमान जी की गति और वानर सहज स्वभाव को दर्शाता है। वे पैदल चलकर नहीं गए, बल्कि आकाश मार्ग से या छलांग लगाकर तीव्रता से पहुँचे। ऋष्यमूक से राम के पास जाने की यह छलांग केवल एक भौतिक दूरी को कम नहीं कर रही, बल्कि यह वानर राज और रघुनाथ के बीच के गठबंधन की नींव रखने जा रही है।
