तर्पयित्वा सहस्राक्षः सलिलेन वसुंधराम् ।
निर्वर्तयित्वा सस्यानि कृत कर्मा व्यवस्थितः ॥ ॥४-३०-२१॥
Tarpayitvā sahasrākṣaḥ salilena vasuṃdharām |
Nirvartayitvā sasyāni kṛta karmā vyavasthitaḥ ॥4-30-21॥
Translation
(Rama said:) Having satisfied the earth with water and having brought the crops to maturity, the Thousand-eyed One (Indra), having completed his task, is now resting (quiet).
हिंदी अनुवाद
(राम ने कहा:) सहस्राक्ष (हजार नेत्रों वाले इंद्र) जल से पृथ्वी को तृप्त करके और फसलों (सस्य) को पकाकर (बढ़ाकर), अपना कार्य पूरा करके अब शांत (व्यवस्थित) हो गए हैं।
English Commentary
Rama observes the seasonal change to justify the timing of their next move. He notes that Indra (Sahasraksha - the Thousand-eyed god of rain) has fulfilled his duty: satiating the earth with water and allowing crops to ripen. Having finished his task (Krita karma), Indra is now 'settled' or quiet, meaning the rains have ceased. This observation is crucial because the agreement with Sugriva was to wait until the rainy season ended. By noting that nature has completed its cycle of nourishment, Rama implies that the time for the Vanaras (monkeys) to fulfill their side of the pact has arrived. It is a poetic way of saying, 'The obstacles of weather are gone; it is time to work.'

राम अब प्रकृति के संकेतों को पढ़ रहे हैं। वे कहते हैं कि वर्षा ऋतु का स्वामी इंद्र अपना काम कर चुका है। उसने धरती को जल से 'तृप्त' कर दिया है और फसलें लहलहा रही हैं। 'कृत कर्मा व्यवस्थितः' का अर्थ है कि इंद्र अब अपना कर्तव्य पूरा करके विश्राम कर रहे हैं (वर्षा ऋतु समाप्त हो गई है)। यह सुग्रीव को दिए गए समय (वर्षा ऋतु के बाद) की याद दिलाता है। अप्रत्यक्ष रूप से राम कह रहे हैं कि जैसे इंद्र ने अपना काम कर दिया, वैसे ही अब सुग्रीव को अपना वचन निभाना चाहिए। आकाश अब साफ हो रहा है, जो संकेत है कि युद्ध और खोज का समय आ गया है। यह श्लोक वर्षा ऋतु के औपचारिक समापन की घोषणा करता है।
