शरद्गुणाप्यायितरूपशोभाः प्रहर्षितपांसुसमुक्षिताङ्गाः ।
मदोत्कटाः संप्रति युद्धलुब्धा वृषा गवां मध्यगता नदन्ति ॥४-३०-३७॥
śaradguṇāpyāyitarūpaśobhāḥ praharṣitapāṃsusamukṣitāṅgāḥ |
madotkaṭāḥ saṃprati yuddhalubdhā vṛṣā gavāṃ madhyagatā nadanti ॥4-30-37॥
Translation
Their beauty enhanced by the qualities of autumn, their bodies covered in dust with joy, intoxicated with rut and now eager for battle, the bulls roar while standing amidst the cows.

शरद ऋतु के गुणों से जिनकी शारीरिक शोभा बढ़ गई है, जो हर्ष के साथ धूल से सने हुए हैं, और मद से उत्कट होकर युद्ध के लिए लालायित हैं, वे सांड गायों के बीच में स्थित होकर गर्जना कर रहे हैं।
English Commentary
The description of the bulls represents virility and raw power. Autumn not only beautifies nature but also infuses creatures with strength and vigor. The bulls being yuddhalubdhā (greedy for battle) reflects the natural aggression associated with this season. Through this imagery, Rama points out that every creature in nature is now active and energetic. The presence of the bull amidst the cows symbolizes union, which stands in stark contrast to Rama's own separation from Sita, thereby heightening his emotional turmoil.

यहाँ सांडों (वृषभ) का वर्णन पौरुष और शक्ति के प्रदर्शन के रूप में किया गया है। शरद ऋतु न केवल प्रकृति को सुंदर बनाती है, बल्कि प्राणियों में बल और उत्साह का संचार भी करती है। सांडों का 'युद्धलुब्धा' (युद्ध के लोभी) होना उस आक्रामकता को दर्शाता है जो इस ऋतु में स्वाभाविक है। राम इस दृश्य के माध्यम से यह इंगित कर रहे हैं कि प्रकृति का हर प्राणी अब सक्रिय और ऊर्जावान है। गायों के मध्य सांड का होना पुनः संयोग (मिलन) का प्रतीक है, जो राम के वियोग को कंट्रास्ट (विरोध) के माध्यम से और अधिक कष्टदायी बनाता है।
