जलं प्रसन्नं कुसुमप्रहासं क्रौञ्चस्वनं शालिवनं विपक्वम् ।
मृदुश्च वायुर्विमलश्च चन्द्रः शंसन्ति वर्षव्यपनीतकालम् ॥४-३०-५२॥
jalaṃ prasannaṃ kusumaprahāsaṃ krauñcasvanaṃ śālivanaṃ vipakvam |
mṛduśca vāyurvimalaśca candraḥ śaṃsanti varṣavyapanītakālam ॥4-30-52॥
Translation
The clear water, the blooming flowers, the call of the Krauncha birds, the ripe paddy fields, the gentle breeze, and the spotless moon—all these announce that the season of rains has passed.

निर्मल जल, खिले हुए फूल, क्रौंच पक्षियों की आवाज़, पके हुए धान के खेत, मंद हवा और निर्मल चंद्रमा—ये सब सूचित कर रहे हैं कि वर्षा ऋतु का समय बीत चुका है।
English Commentary
Lord Rama here presents a conclusion to Lakshmana. He enumerates all the signs of autumn to prove that the time for action has arrived. The word śaṃsanti (announce/proclaim) is significant—nature itself is testifying that the season has changed. The implication is: "O Lakshmana! Look, the times have changed, obstacles are removed, yet Sugriva has not arrived." This verse is not merely a description of nature but serves as evidence reminding them of the ultimatum (timeline) given to Sugriva.

श्री राम यहाँ लक्ष्मण के समक्ष निष्कर्ष प्रस्तुत कर रहे हैं। वे शरद ऋतु के सभी लक्षणों को एक साथ गिनाते हैं ताकि यह सिद्ध कर सकें कि अब कार्य (Action) का समय है। 'शंसन्ति' (घोषणा कर रहे हैं) शब्द महत्वपूर्ण है—प्रकृति स्वयं गवाही दे रही है कि ऋतु बदल गई है। इसका निहितार्थ यह है कि "हे लक्ष्मण! देखो, समय बदल गया है, बाधाएं हट गई हैं, लेकिन सुग्रीव अभी तक नहीं आए।" यह श्लोक केवल प्रकृति वर्णन नहीं है, बल्कि सुग्रीव को दिए गए अल्टीमेटम (समय सीमा) की याद दिलाने वाला साक्ष्य है।
