असनाः सप्तपर्णाश्च कोविदाराश्च पुष्पिताः ।
दृश्यन्ते बन्धुजीवाश्च श्यामाश्च गिरिसानुषु ॥४-३०-६१॥
asanāḥ saptaparṇāśca kovidārāśca puṣpitāḥ |
dṛśyante bandhujīvāśca śyāmāśca girisānuṣu ॥4-30-61॥
Translation
On the mountain peaks, the Asana, Saptaparna, Kovidara, Bandhujiva, and Shyama trees are seen in full bloom.
हिंदी अनुवाद
पर्वत के शिखरों पर असन, सप्तपर्ण, कोविदार, बन्धुजीव और श्याम (लताएं) खिले हुए दिखाई दे रहे हैं।
English Commentary
Although Rama is growing angry with Sugriva, the influence of the surroundings remains. He glances back at the flowers. This verse indicates that while waiting for Sugriva, Rama's gaze repeatedly shifts to the mountain paths where these flowers bloom. The name of the flower Bandhujiva is significant—it reminds Rama of his bandhus (kin/allies) who are currently absent. The blooming of these flowers serves as further evidence of the passing time that Rama is presenting.

यद्यपि राम सुगरीव पर क्रोधित हो रहे हैं, फिर भी आस-पास के वातावरण का प्रभाव उन पर बना हुआ है। वे पुनः फूलों की ओर देखते हैं। यह श्लोक दर्शाता है कि सुग्रीव की प्रतीक्षा करते हुए राम की दृष्टि बार-बार पर्वत के रास्तों पर जा रही है जहाँ ये फूल खिले हैं। 'बन्धुजीव' फूल का नाम सार्थक है—यह राम को अपने 'बंधुओं' और सहयोगियों की याद दिलाता है जो अभी साथ नहीं हैं। फूलों का खिलना समय के बीतने का एक और प्रमाण है जिसे राम प्रस्तुत कर रहे हैं।
