रोष वेग प्रकुपितः श्रुत्वा च आभरण स्वनम् ।
चकार ज्या स्वनम् वीरो दिशः शब्देन पूरयन् ॥ ॥४-३३-२६॥
Rosha vega prakupitah shrutva cha abharana svanam |
Chakara jya svanam viro dishah shabdena purayan ॥4-33-26॥
Translation
Furious with a surge of anger upon hearing the sound of ornaments, the hero twanged his bowstring, filling all directions with the sound.
हिंदी अनुवाद
आभूषणों की ध्वनि सुनकर रोष के वेग से कुपित हुए उस वीर (लक्ष्मण) ने धनुष की प्रत्यंचा (डोरी) का घोर टंकार किया, जिससे दसों दिशाएं गूंज उठीं।
English Commentary
The transition from shame to renewed anger is swift. The sound of the ornaments, while embarrassing him, also serves as proof of Sugriva's negligence, refueling his rosha (wrath). To announce his presence without visually violating the women's privacy further, and to cut through the ambient music, he twangs his bowstring. This sound fills the directions (dishah shabdena purayan), acting as a sonic weapon that shatters the peaceful, hedonistic atmosphere of the palace. It is a sharp reminder of the warrior dharma that Sugriva has forgotten.

लक्ष्मण की लज्जा क्षणिक थी, जो शीघ्र ही पुनः क्रोध में परिवर्तित हो गई। आभूषणों की ध्वनि ने उन्हें स्मरण कराया कि सुग्रीव विलास में डूबे हैं। अपनी उपस्थिति दर्ज कराने और सुग्रीव को चेतावनी देने के लिए उन्होंने 'ज्या स्वनम्' (धनुष की टंकार) किया। यह टंकार केवल ध्वनि नहीं थी, बल्कि एक अल्टीमेटम था। जहाँ मृदंग और नूपुर बज रहे थे, वहाँ युद्ध के अस्त्र की ध्वनि ने वातावरण को चीर दिया। यह ध्वनि सुग्रीव को निद्रा से जगाने के लिए लक्ष्मण का शंखनाद था।
