सा तस्य धर्मार्थ समाधि युक्तम्निशम्य वाक्यम् मधुर स्वभावम् ।
तारा गतार्थे मनुजेन्द्र कार्येविश्वास युक्तम् तम् उवाच भूयः ॥४-३३-५०॥
sā tasya dharmārtha samādhi yuktam niśamya vākyam madhura svabhāvam |
tārā gatārthe manujendra kārye viśvāsa yuktam tam uvāca bhūyaḥ ॥4-33-50॥
Translation
Hearing his words, which were endowed with determination regarding Dharma and Artha and were of a gentle nature, Tara, confident in the successful outcome of the prince's mission, spoke to him again.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब तारा ने लक्ष्मण के धर्म और अर्थ के निश्चय से युक्त तथा मधुर स्वभाव वाले वचनों को सुना। राम के कार्य के विषय में (सुग्रीव के) निश्चित विचार को जानने वाली तारा ने फिर विश्वासपूर्वक उनसे कहा।
English Commentary
Tara analyzes Lakshmana’s speech and detects the 'madhura svabhavam' (sweet/reasonable nature) beneath the anger. She realizes his outburst is rooted in righteousness ('dharma-artha'), not malice. The term 'gatarthe' suggests she knows the internal reality—that steps have already been taken by Sugriva (sending Neil to gather troops)—which gives her the confidence ('visvasa yuktam') to speak. She isn't bluffing; she knows the solution is already in motion, and she just needs to manage Lakshmana's emotions until the results are visible.

तारा ने लक्ष्मण के क्रोध के पीछे छिपे 'मधुर स्वभाव' और 'धर्मार्थ' की चिंता को पहचान लिया। वह समझ गई कि लक्ष्मण का उद्देश्य विनाश नहीं, बल्कि कार्य-सिद्धि है। 'गतार्थे' का अर्थ है कि तारा जानती थी कि सुग्रीव ने अब सेना बुलाने का आदेश दे दिया है (अर्थात कार्य का मार्ग प्रशस्त हो चुका है), इसलिए वह 'विश्वास युक्तम्' (पूरे आत्मविश्वास के साथ) बोली। उसे पता था कि उसके पास लक्ष्मण को शांत करने के लिए ठोस तर्क और तथ्य दोनों हैं।
