न च रोष वशम् तात गंतुम् अर्हसि लक्ष्मण ।
निश्चयार्थम् अविज्ञाय सहसा प्राकृतो यथा ॥ ॥४-३५-१०॥
Na ca roṣa vaśam tāta gantum arhasi Lakṣmaṇa । Niścayārtham avijñāye sahasā prākṛto yathā ॥ ॥4-35-10॥
Translation
O dear Lakshmana, you ought not to succumb to anger suddenly like a common person without first knowing the true resolve (or the actual facts of the situation).

हे तात लक्ष्मण! वास्तविक निश्चय (सच्चाई) को जाने बिना, किसी साधारण (अशिक्षित) मनुष्य की भाँति आपको इस प्रकार सहसा क्रोध के वशीभूत नहीं होना चाहिए।
English Commentary
Tara shifts from defense to a gentle admonition, addressing Lakshmana affectionately as "Tata" but correcting him firmly. She compares his sudden outburst to that of a "Prakrita"—a common, uncultured man who reacts emotionally without ascertaining the facts. By stating that he does not yet know the "Nishchaya" (decision or resolve) taken by Sugriva, she hints that actions have already been initiated behind the scenes. This challenges Lakshmana to live up to his noble lineage and intellect instead of acting on impulse. It effectively pauses his aggression by suggesting his anger is based on incomplete information.

तारा अब लक्ष्मण को स्नेहपूर्वक 'तात' कहते हुए हल्की झिड़की देती हैं। वह कहती हैं कि लक्ष्मण का व्यवहार 'प्राकृत' यानी एक साधारण, असंस्कृत व्यक्ति जैसा हो रहा है जो बिना तथ्यों की जांच किए भावना में बह जाता है। तारा का कहना है कि सुग्रीव ने सीता की खोज के लिए क्या 'निश्चित' किया है या क्या कदम उठाए हैं, यह जाने बिना ही लक्ष्मण का क्रोधित होना अनुचित है। यह एक चतुर मनोवैज्ञानिक चाल है—लक्ष्मण को यह अहसास दिलाना कि उनका गुस्सा उनके अपने उच्च स्तर और मर्यादा के अनुरूप नहीं है, जिससे वे शांत होकर बात सुनने को बाध्य हों।
