समानेष्यति सुग्रीवः सीतया सह राघवम् ।
शशांकम् इव रोहिण्या हत्याऽतम् राक्षस अधमम् ॥ ॥४-३५-१४॥
Samāneṣyati Sugrīvaḥ Sītayā saha Rāghavam । Śaśāṅkam iva Rohiṇyā hatvā tam rākṣasa adhamam ॥ ॥4-35-14॥
Translation
Sugriva will reunite Raghava (Rama) with Sita after killing that vile demon, just as the Moon is reunited with (the constellation) Rohini.

उस नीच राक्षस (रावण) को मारकर, सुग्रीव श्रीराम को सीता से उसी प्रकार मिला देंगे, जैसे चंद्रमा को रोहिणी से मिलाया जाता है।
English Commentary
Tara moves to assurances of success. She confidently predicts that Sugriva will facilitate the reunion of Rama and Sita. The metaphor of the Moon and Rohini is a classic Sanskrit trope representing an eternal, celestial union, suggesting that Rama and Sita's reunion is destined and natural. By explicitly mentioning the killing of the "vile demon," she reaffirms that Sugriva acknowledges the enemy and the objective of the war. This shifts the focus from the current delay to the ultimate victory, aiming to redirect Lakshmana’s energy from anger to anticipation of the upcoming campaign.

तारा भविष्य के प्रति आश्वस्त करती हैं। वह वानर सेना की सफलता की गारंटी देती हैं। उपमा 'शशांकम् इव रोहिण्या' (जैसे चंद्रमा रोहिणी के साथ) बहुत ही सुंदर और मांगलिक है, जो भारतीय साहित्य में अटूट मिलन का प्रतीक है। तारा यहाँ लक्ष्मण को लक्ष्य की याद दिला रही हैं—सीता की प्राप्ति। वह यह भी स्पष्ट करती हैं कि सुग्रीव स्वयं उस 'राक्षस अधम' (रावण) के वध में सहायक होंगे। यह श्लोक लक्ष्मण को यह भरोसा दिलाने के लिए है कि सुग्रीव न केवल प्रयास करेंगे, बल्कि सफल भी होंगे।
