राम प्रसादात् कीर्तिम् च कपि राज्यम् च शाश्वतम् ।
प्राप्तवान् इह सुग्रीवो रुमाम् माम् च परंतप ॥ ॥४-३५-५॥
rāma prasādāt kīrtim ca kapi rājyam ca śāśvatam |
prāptavān iha sugrīvo rumām mām ca paraṃtapa ॥4-35-5॥
Translation
O Scorcher of Enemies! It is by Rama's grace that Sugriva has obtained fame, the eternal monkey kingdom, Ruma, and me (Tara) here.

हे परंतप (शत्रुतापन)! सुग्रीव ने यहाँ राम की कृपा से ही कीर्ति, शाश्वत वानर राज्य, रुमा को और मुझे (तारा को) प्राप्त किया है।
English Commentary
Here, Tara fully validates Lakshmana's assertion that Sugriva owes everything to Rama. She lists the assets: Fame (Kīrti), the Kingdom (Rājyam), wife Ruma, and critically, herself (Mām ca). Addressing Lakshmana as Parantapa (Scorcher of Enemies) acknowledges his power. By explicitly stating "and me," Tara personalizes the debt. She is effectively saying, "I am standing here speaking to you only because of Rama." This admission disarms the argument that they are ungrateful. It shows they are fully aware of the ledger of favors. It shifts the narrative from "denial of debt" to "acknowledgment of debt," paving the way for an explanation of the delay.
