ये प्रसक्ताः च कामेषु दीर्घ सूत्राः च वानराः ।
इह आनयस्व तान् शीघ्रम् सर्वान् एव कपीश्वरान् ॥ ॥४-३७-११॥
ye prasaktāḥ ca kāmeṣu dīrgha sūtrāḥ ca vānarāḥ । iha ānayasva tān śīghram sarvān eva kapīśvarān ॥ ॥4-37-11॥
Translation
Bring here quickly all those Vanara lords who are attached to sensual pleasures and those who are dilatory (habitually delaying work).

जो वानर काम-भोगों में आसक्त हैं और जो काम में देरी करने वाले (दीर्घसूत्री) हैं, उन सभी कपि-श्वरों (वानर राजाओं) को भी शीघ्र यहाँ ले आओ।
English Commentary
Sugriva targets the reluctant and the lazy. He specifically calls out those attached to pleasure (kameshu prasaktah) and the dirgha sutrah (procrastinators/those who delay). Having just been reprimanded for these exact flaws by Lakshmana, Sugriva knows these traits well. He anticipates that many tribal leaders will be reluctant to leave their comforts for a war. By explicitly ordering Hanuman to fetch even the hedonists and laggards, Sugriva signals a "total war" scenario where conscientious objection or laziness is not permitted. It shows his resolve to utilize every available resource, regardless of their willingness or moral standing.

सुग्रीव मानव (या वानर) स्वभाव को भली-भांति समझते हैं। वे स्वयं अभी तक 'कामेषु प्रसक्ताः' (भोग-विलास में लिप्त) थे, इसलिए वे जानते हैं कि उनके कई सामंत भी इसी अवस्था में होंगे। 'दीर्घसूत्री' वे लोग होते हैं जो आज का काम कल पर टालते हैं। सुग्रीव विशेष रूप से निर्देश देते हैं कि ऐसे आलसी और विलासी वानरों को भी छोड़ना नहीं है, बल्कि उन्हें भी पकड़कर लाना है। यह आत्म-स्वीकृति और कठोरता का मिश्रण है। अब युद्ध का समय है, और विलास या आलस्य का कोई स्थान नहीं है। सुग्रीव अपनी पुरानी गलती अपनी सेना को नहीं दोहराने देना चाहते।
