शतानि अथ सहस्राणि कोट्यः च मम शासनात् ।
प्रयान्तु कपि सिंहानाम् निदिशे मम ये स्थिताः ॥४-३७-१३॥
śatāni atha sahasrāṇi koṭyaḥ ca mama śāsanāt |
prayāntu kapi siṃhānām nidiśe mama ye sthitāḥ ॥4-37-13॥
Translation
Now, by my command, let hundreds, thousands, and crores of those lion-like monkeys who are under my direction set forth.

अब मेरे आदेश से सैकड़ों, हजारों और करोड़ों वे वानर-शिरोमणि प्रस्थान करें, जो मेरे अधिकार (निर्देश) में स्थित हैं।
English Commentary
Here, King Sugriva exercises his sovereignty and authority, issuing a directive to the mighty Hanuman. Following the end of the rainy season, this marks Sugriva's first decisive action to fulfill his promise to Lord Rama. The phrase "mama śāsanāt" (by my command) underscores the absolute authority he holds over the Vanara kingdom. Sugriva realizes that a monumental task like searching for Sita cannot be accomplished by a mere handful of scouts; it requires the mobilization of his entire military might, numbering in the millions. This verse signifies the transition from the passive waiting period of the monsoon to active military mobilization in service of Dharma.

यहाँ वानरराज सुग्रीव अपनी राजसत्ता और प्रभुत्व का प्रयोग करते हुए महाबली हनुमान को निर्देश दे रहे हैं। वर्षा ऋतु की समाप्ति के बाद भगवान श्रीराम के कार्य को सिद्ध करने के लिए यह सुग्रीव का पहला निर्णायक कदम है। "मम शासनात्" (मेरे आदेश से) शब्द का प्रयोग राजा के रूप में उनकी कठोरता और अधिकार को दर्शाता है। सुग्रीव जानते हैं कि सीता की खोज जैसा विशाल कार्य केवल कुछ गिने-चुने वानरों द्वारा संभव नहीं है, इसलिए वे अपनी पूरी सैन्य शक्ति, जो कि करोड़ों की संख्या में है, को लामबंद करने का आदेश दे रहे हैं। यह श्लोक सुग्रीव की उस प्रतिज्ञा का पालन है जो उन्होंने अग्नि को साक्षी मानकर राम से की थी।
