ते गृहीत्वा ओषधीः सर्वाः फल मूलम् च वानराः ।
तम् प्रतिग्राहयामासुर् वचनम् च इदम् अब्रुवन् ॥४-३७-३५॥
te gṛhītvā oṣadhīḥ sarvāḥ phala mūlam ca vānarāḥ |
tam pratigrāhayāmāsur vacanam ca idam abruvan ॥4-37-35॥
Translation
Taking all those herbs, fruits, and roots, the monkeys offered them to him (Sugriva) for acceptance, and spoke these words.

उन वानरों ने वे सभी औषधियां, फल और मूल लेकर उन्हें (सुग्रीव को) स्वीकार कराया (भेंट किया) और यह वचन कहा।
English Commentary
Upon reaching the King, the messengers observed proper court etiquette. Before speaking, they "caused him to accept" (pratigrāhayāmāsur) the gifts of rare herbs and fruits they had gathered. Approaching a monarch with tributes, especially rare items from distant lands, is a sign of respect and submission. This act pacifies the King and sets a positive tone for the briefing. Only after the offering was accepted did they commence their verbal report ("vacanam abruvan"), demonstrating a structured approach to royal communication.

सुग्रीव के पास पहुँचकर दूतों ने सबसे पहले शिष्टाचार का पालन किया। उन्होंने जो दुर्लभ वस्तुएँ (औषधि, फल, मूल) हिमालय से लाई थीं, उन्हें 'प्रतिग्राहयामासुर्' (स्वीकार करवाया/भेंट की)। राजा के समक्ष खाली हाथ न जाना राजनीति और शिष्टाचार का अंग है। 'स्वीकार करवाया' शब्द यह ध्वनि देता है कि उन्होंने विनम्रता पूर्वक आग्रह किया और राजा ने उसे ग्रहण किया। भेंट देने के बाद ही उन्होंने बोलना (रिपोर्ट करना) शुरू किया। यह एक अनुशासित दरबारी माहौल का चित्रण है।
