त्रिवर्ग फल भोक्ता च राजा धर्मेण युज्यते ।
उद्योग समयः तु एष प्राप्तः शत्रु निषूदन ॥ ॥४-३८-२३॥
Trivarga phala bhoktā ca rājā dharmeṇa yujyate । Udyoga samayaḥ tu eṣa prāptaḥ śatru niṣūdana ॥ ॥4-38-23॥
Translation
"A king who enjoys the fruits of the aggregate of three (Dharma, Artha, Kama) is united with righteousness. O destroyer of enemies, the time for exertion has now arrived."

"जो राजा त्रिवर्ग (धर्म, अर्थ, काम) के फल का (संतुलित) भोग करता है, वह धर्म से युक्त होता है। हे शत्रुनाशन! यह उद्योग (प्रयत्न) का समय आ गया है।"
English Commentary
Concluding his advice, Rama reaffirms that a king who enjoys the fruits of all three pursuits in balance is truly righteous. He then pivots from theory to immediate reality: "This is the time for Udyoga (effort/exertion)." The address 'Shatru nishudana' (Destroyer of enemies) is empowering; it reminds Sugriva of his capability and purpose. This verse serves as the definitive call to action, marking the end of the waiting period (the rainy season) and the commencement of the great search for Sita. उपदेश का समापन करते हुए राम सुग्रीव को 'शत्रु निषूदन' कहते हैं, जिसका अर्थ है शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाला। यह सुग्रीव के क्षत्रिय-तेज को जगाने के लिए है। राम कहते हैं कि तीनों वर्गों का संतुलन ही सच्चा धर्म है। अब तक जो हुआ सो हुआ, लेकिन अब 'उद्योग समयः' (कर्म/प्रयत्न करने का समय) आ गया है। यह "एक्शन" के लिए स्पष्ट आह्वान है। यहाँ राम की शिक्षा समाप्त होती है और कार्ययोजना का आरम्भ होता है। सुग्रीव को अब अपनी सेना को सीता की खोज में लगाने का आदेश देना है।
