एते वानर मुख्याः च शतशः शत्रु सूदन ।
प्राप्ताः च आदाय बलिनः पृथिव्याम् सर्व वानरान् ॥ ॥४-३८-२७॥
Ete vānara mukhyāḥ ca śataśaḥ śatru sūdana |
Prāptāḥ ca ādāya balinaḥ pṛthivyām sarva vānarān ॥4-38-27॥
Translation
O Destroyer of Enemies! These hundreds of monkey chiefs have arrived here, bringing with them powerful monkeys from all over the earth.

हे शत्रुसूदन! ये सैकड़ों वानर-सेनापति (यूथप) पृथ्वी भर के समस्त बलवान वानरों को साथ लेकर यहाँ आ पहुँच चुके हैं।
English Commentary
Sugriva shifts from apologies to action. He presents the tangible results of his mobilization efforts. Addressing Rama as Shatru Sudana (Slayer of Foes) aligns the conversation with Rama's objective—war against the Rakshasas. The verse emphasizes the scale of the gathering, noting that chiefs (Mukhyas) have gathered capable warriors from across the entire earth, not just local tribes. This illustrates Sugriva's authority as the King of all Vanaras and his capability to summon a massive, global force for Rama's cause.

सुग्रीव अब अपनी सैन्य शक्ति का परिचय दे रहे हैं। 'शत्रुसूदन' (शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाले) विशेषण का प्रयोग करके वे राम को याद दिला रहे हैं कि उनका लक्ष्य (रावण वध) अब निकट है। सुग्रीव बताते हैं कि वानर केवल किष्किंधा के नहीं हैं, बल्कि पूरी पृथ्वी से बुलाए गए हैं। यह सुग्रीव के व्यापक प्रभाव और उनके आदेश की शक्ति को दर्शाता है। युद्ध की तैयारी अब बातों से आगे बढ़कर धरातल पर उतर चुकी है, और विशाल सेना का एकत्रीकरण इसका प्रमाण है।
