एहि इति उच्छैः हरि वरान् सुग्रीवः समुदाहरत् ।
तस्य तद् वचनम् श्रुत्वा हरयः शीघ्रम् आययुः ॥४-३८-७॥
ehi iti ucchaiḥ hari varān sugrīvaḥ samudāharat |
tasya tad vacanam śrutvā harayaḥ śīghram āyayuḥ ॥4-38-7॥
Translation
Sugriva called out loudly to the best of monkeys, saying "Come here!" Hearing his words, the monkeys arrived quickly.
हिंदी अनुवाद
सुग्रीव ने ऊँचे स्वर में (द्वार पर स्थित) वानर-श्रेष्ठों को "यहाँ आओ" (एहि) कहकर पुकारा। उनके उस वचन को सुनकर वानर शीघ्रता से आ गए।
English Commentary
Sugriva reasserts his command presence. Speaking "ucchaih" (loudly) signifies authority and energy, dispelling any lingering image of lethargy or intoxication. The command "Ehi" (Come) is direct and imperial. The immediate response of the attendants ("shighram ayayuh") demonstrates the discipline within the palace guard. Sugriva is switching gears from a passive, apologetic host to an active monarch organizing his departure to meet his ally.

सुग्रीव अब अपने राजा के रूप में सक्रिय हो गए हैं। 'उच्छैः' (जोर से/ऊंचे स्वर में) बोलना उनके आत्मविश्वास और सत्ता का प्रतीक है। 'एहि' (आओ) एक संक्षिप्त और स्पष्ट आदेश है। जो वानर द्वारपाल या अंगरक्षक के रूप में बाहर खड़े थे, वे तुरंत अंदर आ गए। यह तत्परता दिखाती है कि सुग्रीव का प्रशासन चुस्त है और सेवक अपने स्वामी की आवाज पर सतर्क रहते हैं। मदिरा का प्रभाव अब पूरी तरह उतर चुका है और राजा की आज्ञा शक्ति लौट आई है।
