ततः कांचन शैल आभः ताराया वीर्यवान् पिता ।
अनेकैः बहु साहस्रैः कोटिभिः प्रत्यदृश्यत ॥ ॥४-३९-१५॥
tataḥ kāñcana śaila ābhaḥ tārāyā vīryavān pitā । anekaiḥ bahu sāhasraiḥ koṭibhiḥ pratyadṛśyata ॥ ॥4-39-15॥
Translation
Thereafter, Tara's powerful father, who shone like a golden mountain, appeared surrounded by many thousands of crores of Vanaras.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, सुमेरु पर्वत (स्वर्ण पर्वत) जैसी आभा वाले, तारा के वीर्यवान पिता (सुषेण) अनेक हजार करोड़ वानरों के साथ दिखाई पड़े।
English Commentary
This verse describes the majestic arrival of Sushena, the father of Tara. He is compared to a "golden mountain," symbolizing both his massive physical stature and his radiant, golden complexion. As the father-in-law of the late Vali, his participation is politically significant; it demonstrates that the entire royal family supports Sugriva's reign and his alliance with Rama. Sushena is not only a warrior but is also revered in the Ramayana as a great physician. His presence adds both military might and wisdom to the gathering assembly, bringing "many thousands of crores" of troops to the cause.
