तथा अपरेण कोटीनाम् साहस्रेण समन्वितः ।
पिता रुमयाः संप्राप्तः सुग्रीव श्वशुरो विभुः ॥ ॥४-३९-१६॥
tathā apareṇa koṭīnām sāhasreṇa samanvitaḥ । pitā rumayāḥ saṁprāptaḥ sugrīva śvaśuro vibhuḥ ॥ ॥4-39-16॥
Translation
Similarly, Ruma's father, the capable father-in-law of Sugriva, arrived there accompanied by a thousand crores of Vanaras.

उसी प्रकार, रुमा के पिता और सुग्रीव के प्रभावशाली ससुर भी एक हजार करोड़ वानरों के साथ वहां आ पहुंचे।
English Commentary
This verse highlights the arrival of Sugriva's father-in-law, the father of his wife Ruma. He brings a staggering force of one thousand crores. The term Vibhu implies that he is capable, omnipresent in influence, and powerful. His arrival reinforces the legitimacy of Sugriva's kingship. Following the internal conflict between Vali and Sugriva, the support of the elders and in-laws is crucial for stability. By rallying his own forces for Sugriva’s cause, Ruma’s father demonstrates total solidarity with the mission to find Sita, showing that the alliance with Rama has the full backing of the extended Vanara royal clan.
