दरीमुखः च बलवान् यूथपो अभ्याययौ तदा ।
वृतः कोटि सहस्रेण सुग्रीवम् समुपस्थितः ॥ ॥४-३९-२४॥
darīmukhaḥ ca balavān yūthapo abhyāyayau tadā । vṛtaḥ koṭi sahasreṇa sugrīvam samupasthitaḥ ॥ ॥4-39-24॥
Translation
Then the strong commander Darimukha also arrived, and surrounded by a thousand crores of troops, he presented himself before Sugriva.

तब बलवान यूथप 'दरीमुख' भी आ पहुंचे और एक हजार करोड़ वानरों से घिरे हुए सुग्रीव के पास उपस्थित हुए।
English Commentary
Darimukha, whose name literally means "Cave-Faced" or "Cave-Mouth," is a powerful Yuthapa (commander). He brings a massive contingent of one thousand crores. The verse notes that he "presented himself before Sugriva," highlighting the military protocol and discipline maintained despite the massive numbers. Darimukha is a loyalist who plays various roles in the epic, often serving as a messenger or guardian of the Madhuvana. His arrival with such a large force confirms that the core leadership of Kishkindha has fully mobilized their respective clans for the upcoming expedition.
