Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
स तु विपुल यशाः कपि प्रवीरः पवनसुतः कृत कृत्यवत् प्रहृष्टः ।
गिरि वरम् उरुविक्रमः प्रयातः स शुभमतिः सह राम लक्ष्मणाभ्याम् ॥ ॥४-४-३५॥
Sa tu vipula yaśāḥ kapi pravīraḥ pavanasutaḥ kṛta kṛtyavat prahṛṣṭaḥ |
Giri varam uruvikramaḥ prayātaḥ sa śubhamatiḥ saha rāma lakṣmaṇābhyām ॥4-4-35॥
Translation
That son of the Wind, of wide-spread fame, the foremost hero among monkeys, possessed of pure intellect and great valour, feeling delighted as one who has accomplished his object, proceeded to that excellent mountain along with Rama and Lakshmana.
हिंदी अनुवाद
महायशस्वी, वानर वीरों में श्रेष्ठ, शुभ बुद्धि वाले, महान पराक्रमी पवनकुमार हनुमान, (राम और लक्ष्मण को पाकर) कृतार्थ हुए पुरुष की भाँति प्रसन्न होते हुए, उन दोनों भाइयों के साथ उस श्रेष्ठ पर्वत (मलयगिरि) की ओर चल पड़े।
English Commentary
This verse concludes the 4th Sarga with a shower of praises for Hanuman: Vipula yashah (great fame), Shubhamatih (pure intellect), and Uruvikramah (great valour). His joy stems from a sense of accomplishment (Krita krityavat); he has successfully found the solution to Sugriva's plight. The imagery suggests a triumphant procession. It highlights that association with the Divine purifies the intellect (Shubhamati). Hanuman is not just carrying two princes; he is carrying the destiny of the Vanara race and the future of Dharma towards the mountain.

सर्ग 4 का समापन इस श्लोक से होता है। यहाँ वाल्मीकि जी ने हनुमान जी के लिए अनेक विशेषणों का प्रयोग किया है—विपुलयशा (यशस्वी), शुभमति (पवित्र बुद्धि)। जब जीव को ईश्वर का सान्निध्य मिलता है, तो उसकी बुद्धि 'शुभ' हो जाती है। हनुमान जी की प्रसन्नता इसलिए है क्योंकि उन्हें विश्वास है कि वे अपने स्वामी सुग्रीव के भय को दूर करने का उपाय (श्री राम) ले जा रहे हैं। वे एक 'कृतकृत्य' (सफल) व्यक्ति की तरह गर्व और हर्ष के साथ विशाल कदमों से पर्वत की ओर बढ़ रहे हैं।
