दिव्य गन्धैः कुसुमितै आचितैः च नगैः वृतः ।
सरः च राजतैः पद्मैः ज्वलितैः हेम केसरैः ॥ ॥४-४०-४५॥
Divya gandhaiḥ kusumitai ācitaiḥ ca nagaiḥ vṛtaḥ । Saraḥ ca rājataiḥ padmaiḥ jvalitaiḥ hema kesaraiḥ ॥ ॥4-40-45॥
Translation
That mountain is surrounded by trees laden with flowers emitting celestial fragrances. There is also a lake filled with silver lotuses that possess shining golden stamens.

वह पर्वत दिव्य सुगंध वाले, फूलों से लदे हुए वृक्षों से घिरा हुआ है। वहाँ एक सरोवर है जो चाँदी (के रंग) के कमलों से भरा है, जिनके केसर (परागकण) सोने के समान चमकते हैं।
English Commentary
The flora described here transcends earthly biology. The trees bear 'celestial fragrances,' indicating the presence of divine beings. The description of the lotuses is metallic and jewel-like: petals of silver and stamens of gold. This suggests that in these higher cosmic realms, nature is imperishable and opulent. The 'lake' mentioned here sets the stage for the Sudarshana lake mentioned in the next verse, portraying a landscape that is essentially a paradise or pleasure garden for celestial entities.
